Sampling Bags
The Onose-8® sampling bags are especially developed to be used for the sampling of various gaseous compounds and odours. Manufactured with inert material made of Teflon® or Nalophan®, these bags are resistant, do not react with the gaseous chemical compounds and may be used in a wide variety of gas sampling projects.
Applications
The Onose-8® sampling bags are built by our experienced technicians. Our certified leak-free sampling bags are available in various sizes, volumes and materials. Special orders are also accepted. These sampling bags are especially designed to be used in harsh working environments while preserving the integrity of the gas samples. The Onose-8® sampling bags are mechanically sealed and can be filled or emptied with different valves or adaptors. Easy to use, these bags meet all standards regulating the sampling procedures of contaminants and odours.

Sampling Bags Operation
The Onose-8® sampling bags can be connected to any ¼” (10 mm) outside diameter tubing using a double shut off quick disconnect valve or septum in order to be filled or emptied. These sampling bags are compatible with the Onose-8® vacuum chamber and also with all other Onose-8® line of products. These sampling bags ensure the integrity of the odorous samples for a minimal period of 24 hours, in accordance with current international standards.
The Onose-8® sampling bag made of Nalophan® is single-use. The Teflon® bag can be reused after being purged, cleaned, and free of odor or residual contaminants. The Onose-8® sampling bag can be filled by vacuum. Simply insert it into an Onose-8® vacuum chamber and induce sufficient negative pressure so that the Onose-8® sampling bag can fill up. This method allows a gas sample to be collected inside the sampling bag, significantly reducing the risk of cross-contamination. The sampling bag can also be filled using positive pressure. For example, the bag can be connected to a compressed air cylinder to fill it with fresh air used to dilute a sample directly at the source during sampling.
Onose-8® sampling bag connector is used to fill and empty the bag. The double-end shutoff quick-connect is a male plug used to seal the sampling bag. To fill or empty the bag, the female connector must be connected to the fitting of the bag. The following figure shows the male and female components of the double-end shutoff quick-connect fitting.

The septum may be used in order to inject a liquid or gaseous compound inside the Onose-8® sampling bag using a syringe.

Sampling Bags Components
The Onose-8® sampling bags are mechanically sealed, rather than thermally sealed. This is one of the main advantages that differentiate the Onose-8® sampling bags made by AtmoDC from other types of sampling bags. The Onose-8® sampling bags are free of residual odours. The sampling bags are provided in several dimensions and volumes , thus they can be used in all possible types of sampling procedures and methods.
In addition to the film forming the enclosure of the bag, the main component of the Onose-8® sampling bag is its connection used to fill and empty the bag. The bag can be equipped with a septum or a fast connection dual zipper connector. Onose-8 ® sampling bag can be equipped with other types of connectors, according to the customer’s requirements. The sampling bag is also equipped with a label to include all relevant sampling information.
